Jan 14th ~ World Martial Arts Master Expo '05 On Friday, 14th January 2005, the World Martial Arts Masters Association will honor 9th Degree, Grand Master Byong Yu with a Hollywood extravaganza honoring his 70th birthday. Many top actors from the Martial Arts genre will be in attendance including guest appearances and a demonstration from Shin Koyamada from the cast of The Last Samurai. Shin Koyamada is honored as the NEW RISING MARTIAL ARTS ACTION STAR. Studio City, CA (PRWEB) 13th December, 2004 - The Sportsmen's Lodge in Studio City, California, will be the meeting place on 14th January, 2005 when Hollywood's Martial Arts Celebrities and the top Hollywood Executive converge to witness the abilities and agilities of several of the world's top Martial Artists. This event is to honor Grand Masters Byong Yu's 70th birthday and his 65 years of commitment to all the martial arts. Participants will include Masters Takayuki Kubota, Tadashi Yamashita, Eric Lee, YK Kim, Bennie "The Jet Urquidez, Karen Sheperd, Chuck Norris and more. This event will be co-hosted by Mr. Alan Horn, President and COO of Warner Brothers, and Mr. Michael Klausman, President of CBS Studio Centers. During this event other famous martial artists such as Steven Seagal, Jean Claude Van Damme, Jet Li, Westley Snipes, Jackie Chan and more will be honored for their contributions in film. Bass virtuoso Stanley Clark, himself a Black Belt in Tae Kwan Do, is noted for his musical compositions for the big screen in such films as "Romeo Must Die", "The Transporter", "Boyz in the Hood" and more than 40 others will be providing music specifically composed for this evenings events. Apr 13th ~ Chuck Norris Fundraising Charity Event Shin participated in Chuck Norris Kickstart Invitational Fundraising event in Huston, Texas. The purpose of this event is to help and support poor kids in various ways by having them learning martial arts. That way, kids will develop and improve themselves in such self-discipline, self-confidence, and self-discovery to a better life. Shin was at the auction and competed in tennis match. Among the participants are Former President of the USA George Bush, Neil Bush, Chuck Norris and many others. Jul 10th ~ 4th Annual LA Colombia Salsa Festival Shin made a public appearance in the 4th Annual Los Angeles Colombia Salsa Festival held in Los Angeles, CA. Ecuatorian Parade was held in Los Angeles Downtown. Shin joined in supporting the Ecuatorian Community. Aug 20th - Sep 15th ~ Filming with TBS in Japan Shin left for Japan to film for TV Show with TBS on 20th-27th of August and left for Cairo, Egypt from Japan on 27th of August and came back to Japan on 3rd of September and left again for LA on 7th of September. Also, he flew to Paris, France to continue filming the same show on 15th of- September for a week. This Japanese National TV Show will be an hour and half and on air on March 21st at 28 different TV Stations throughout Japan only such as HBC, ATV, IBC, TBC, TUY, TUF, TBS, UTY, BSN, SBC, TUT, MRO, SBS, CBC, MBS, RSK, RCC, BSS, TYS, ITV, KU-TV, RKB, NBC, RKK, OBS, MRT, MBC, and RBC. Shin's team is planning to show this TV show in different countries (not sure yet). The press conference will be held at TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Station) in Tokyo sometime the second or third week on March, 2006 before on air. The filming is one year. Oct 9th ~ Miss Cultural Beauty Pageant Shin Koyamada appeared as a guest for Miss. MultiCultural Beauty Pageant at Florentine Garden in Hollywood on October 9th, Sunday at 6:00 pm. The contestants from different Nationalities have made a lot of public appearances on TV, newspapers, parades, and events. There were activities such as an interview, evening gown, traditional dress, swimming suits, dancing and so on. The mission of the Miss MuliCultural was to unite and understand all the cultures at an International level. Shin was scheduled to be on the stage and make a speech in front of everybody. It was a Red Carpet with many Press. The event was sponsored by major Latino American Media Communications, Prensa Colombiana, Telemundo, Univision, Azteca Channel, the Mayor?Villaraigosa of L.A and other Political and Latin Media figures who were at the crowning evening supporting this event. It's an Action, Comedy, and Drama. That's all that can be discussed at the moment. This movie will be released in U.S. this year. Nov 6th~ Guatemala Disaster Fundraising Shin made a public appearance to support in Guatemala Disaster Fundraising event. There were about 400 - 500 audiences and supporters from different countries, including a Secretary of the US, Distric Council, Popular Latino singers and bands, and many others.
